  Dr Joseph Ravid is absent of all interactions with his patients. He runs his practice based on his "rules" as opposed to based on clinically based medicine. His "rules" are designed to increase the frequency with which he can submit a claim to insurance and bill the system/patient as opposed to being in the best interest of the care that his patients recieve. Many of his orders are not based on clinical efficacy, evidence, nor best practices. The service is severly lacking given the significant turnover of his staff. That is a refelction of his leadership style which is to say he is a dictator and lacks both customer service skills as well as common sense. The one saving grace in his office is Jennifer Gilpin who is his nurse. She is amazing.

  I have been working with Dr. Ravid for several years. He acquired my former Dr's practice. Ravid is a big step up. Prior to acquisition former doctor ordered dye-induced stress test, got a call that my heart had lost heart function, had to get cardiac catheterization and turned out to be nothing. Dr. R seems far more practical and grounded. I don't care if he runs a tight ship as critic mentioned. Dr. R was/is chief of medicine at Charlotte Regional. Knows what he is doing. ps: But don't try to get diet pills like phentermine from him, lol. He will just tell you to just push away from table.
